Tesla’s Most Expensive Strategy: Early Cybertruck Reservationists Can Buy ‘Foundation Edition’ For A Stunning $120,000.
12/6/2023 11:32 p.m. (Benzinga Newswire) People who initially booked a Cybertruck will be able to get it at a low price. Maybe because the performance got better all of a sudden… The price of Cybertruck has gone up a lot. I wonder if there will be an era when vehicle prices will gradually increase like Apple’s mobile phones. I’m really looking forward to Cybertruck…! Anyway, I was going to buy a used car quickly, but the purchase price went up too much than I thought. I should hold it back. I envy those who made pre-orders.
EV maker Tesla has begun inviting early Cybertruck bookers to choose a “Foundation Edition” vehicle.
However, the truck is priced at a staggering $120,000, 20% higher than the starting price of Cybertruck’s most premium Cyberbeast variant.
What Happened: The “Prime” series of Cybertrucks will have full options and include limited-edition laser engraving badges, all-terrain tires, full self-driving capabilities, power-share home backup hardware and more.
Delivery of the Foundation series begins in California and Texas, and the company says in an email to bookers that more states will be added in 2024.
Only a total of 1,000 Cybertrucks will be produced in the Foundation series.
Why It Matters: Tesla began delivering some stainless steel Cybertrucks to customers at its Gigafactory in Texas last week.
Cybertrucks start at $60,990, and the premium version of CyberBeast starts at $99,990. Deliveries have begun, but the company expects to produce about 250,000 Cybertrucks a year by 2025, a challenging goal due to difficulties in expanding production.
Customers expect the Foundation series to be a Sammotor Cyberbeast variant because of its price, but so far, it’s not clear. “Dana White Gives Free Cybertruck: Why Rumble and Tesla Could Be Real Beneficiaries”

UFC President and CEO is giving away Cybertruck Electric Pickup Trucks. The event will be giving away one of the early Cybertrucks after Tesla began deliveries on Nov. 30, 2023.
What Happened: Tesla’s much-anticipated Cybertruck was finally launched four years after the company unveiled its vehicle, and it came after several delays.
Small production of the vehicles will begin in 2023, with plans for an increase in 2024, and a significant increase after 2025. The vehicles have about 2 million reservations, according to third-party estimates, and Tesla itself has confirmed more than 1 million reservations.
Tesla looks to be able to take advantage of strong reservations to sell its recently announced “Foundation Edition” Cybertruck for $120,000. During the initial Cybertruck delivery, Foundation Edition will be available for a limited time with 1,000 units.
Those waiting for the Cybertruck can participate in UFC CEO Dena White’s new gift event.
“I’m giving away a Tesla Cybertruck for free. This should be the biggest gift I’ve ever given,” White said in the video.
In the video, White thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk and said, “Thank you for doing this for me,” while Musk responded to White’s tweet by saying, “This is cool.”
White says he’s offering the gift because the truck costs up to six figures and there’s a three-year waiting list.
Sharing a link to the presentation, the UFC president also said that those watching Nitrocross live on Rumble on Saturday and Sunday can get an extra chance to apply through the secret code.
Rumble’s ratings are expected to rise with the Cybertruck gift over the weekend. The streaming company has been trying to expand its sports coverage in recent months.
The White-owned Power Slap League previously announced a partnership with Rumble.
Why It Matters: White is well known in the fighting world, and he previously arranged well-known fighting matches between Musk and Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
“I spoke to Elon and Mark last night, both of them are absolutely serious about this,” White previously said.
White said the fight will be the biggest paper view event of all time.
Tesla is known for minimizing traditional advertising and instead relying on word-of-mouth advertising and loyal fans.
White’s posts and gifts can be an easy way to raise awareness about Cybertruck and create more demand.
Podcast host Joe Rogan is also linked to the UFC and has been praising Cybertruck for free in recent episodes.
In a recent episode with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Logan shared details about Tesla’s vehicle with actor and former professional wrestler Johnson, asking if Tesla had an SUV or truck.
Tesla will be able to use the early Cybertruck as a marketing tool and sell it at high prices, like the Foundation model. The company also held an auction for a low-VIN Cybertruck, which sold for $400,000.
