I’m posting it because I think I should be able to change it in the future only if I make one of the important flaws of all the Korean apartment structures public.
Some components of my house are located in someone else’s house, so I can’t do anything my own way.
The drainage facility of our apartment (multi-family housing) penetrates 99% of the floor slab, so the pipe is located in the ceiling space of the house below.
If this pipe leaks, the lower house must go into the lower house with the consent of the lower house, tear the ceiling of the lower house, repair my pipe, and then the upper house must pay all the restoration costs, and the lower house must allow the construction plate in the upper house to repair the pipe.
What if the following house refuses to enter for construction? I have an obligation to allow my house to become a construction site because of someone else’s house.
What if someone needs to change the location of the pipes for remodeling, interior design work, etc., instead of the plumbing defect in the upper house? The right to refuse this is in the lower house. In other words, remodeling my house is essentially impossible without the consent of the lower house. (The upper house can intentionally damage the sewerage system.)
Should the abnormal structure that causes various conflicts because the facilities of my house are embedded in other people’s houses like this be standard and conventional in all apartments in Korea, and should all new apartments be built the same way in the future?
Is this the only problem with this “Korean-style” method of thinning the slab thickness, removing the floor of equipment, and constructing domestic facilities in other people’s homes in order to reduce construction costs and increase the number of households excessively? Because of this structure, in addition to leaks and construction disputes, fierce conflicts of rights and disputes have arisen that result in murder of upper and lower houses due to increased noise between floors.
Can’t help it?
Looking at foreign cases, the United States and Europe both had laws that prevented apartment buildings from being built in this way in the first place. Only Korea builds apartment houses like this!
Why are they irresponsibly neglecting important issues related to avoidable social disputes and conflicts and the quality of housing?
