If you know how to think critically, you’ll have a main 見
If you know how to think critically, you will have a main 見 (an opinion 意見 with a main 張 of the captain), and if you have a main opinion, you can raise a problem with a concept or culture that is taken for granted. Critical thinking is an attitude that does not easily believe or follow everything that is visible and is not conservatively rigid. Furthermore, in such an attitude, you establish your own thoughts or perspectives by seeing through the rational or irrational part of the object. In summary, critical thinking is the most advantageous and basic attitude in forming your own opinion.
Criticistic thinkers have opinions. They doubt authoritative theories or experts and do not blindly follow the existing unreasonable social and moral ethics, customs, or taboos. Those with insight pay attention to the correlation, logic, clarity, concreteness, completeness, and openness of an object. They are very practical while doubting the information or knowledge they encounter, analyzing the problem with a posture of searching for the truth, and making rational judgments and choices. In particular, in the scientific community, only those who have firm opinions and do not give in to authority achieve final success.
Polish astronomer Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543) was a scientist who denied the existing theory of the Ptolemaic theory and insisted on the heliocentric theory. He did not blindly follow the theories of Pythagoras and Ptolemy, who were scientists of the previous generation, but continued to research based solely on his observations. Finding and finding sufficient grounds to support the theory, he argued for heliocentric 說 in his book Devolutionibus orbium coelesteium. Copernicus contained all his theories about the sun, not the Earth, at the center of the solar system (or the universe). Although this theory was not new, it was a mathematical explanation of his thoughts. His heliocentric view of celestial bodies, now known as the Copernican system, forms the basis of modern astronomy.
The theory that shook the values of the time was able to threaten the Roman Pope’s rule. Criticism and persecution continued, let alone recognition, because of this, but over time his ideas proved accurate. Copernicus made a revolutionary change in modern science by breaking the long frame of thought with his courage to doubt the authority that was taken for granted and his spirit of criticizing flat theories that did not conform to reality.
You must know how to think in order to present your opinion. Thinking here is a kind of self-learning process, in which you build your own knowledge system and become the subject of learning by doubting and criticizing existing theories. It is difficult to think independently and form your own unique perspective without an innovative consciousness. For this reason, critical thinking is the cornerstone of growing into creative talent.
Albert Einstein once said, “The ability to think independently and make comprehensive judgments should come first. This is far more important than having knowledge in a specific field.” Those who think independently based on their own opinions do not blindly obey authority or 雷 附. They know how to discover and analyze problems and draw conclusions from rational judgment and choice.
