Elon Musk announced that 22 new Optimus robot hands and new forearms are now in production.

Elon Musk said Tesla plans to produce 5,000 Optimus units this year. He added that Tesla is ordering enough parts to produce 10,000 to 12,000 units this year. The target of 50,000 units in 2026,

Tesla’s Optimus just said it will be ready for use outside of Tesla’s controlled environment in the second half of 2026.
