Did you all see the news that Nvidia started producing Blackwell at TSMC Fab in Arizona, USA?

The media wrote loudly, saying, “The AI semiconductor initiative is moving to the United States.”

So, can AI companies in the U.S. now truck in front of the Arizona fab and pick up Blackwell from there?

It’s not like that.

What TSMC Fab makes is wafer.

You know that round, shiny thin plate with semiconductor circuits on it? TSMC makes only wafers in the Arizona Fab.

TSMC sends it to Taiwan, and from there, it cuts every chip one by one, receives an HBM from SK Hynix, and then connects it.

Except for all the other complicated processes, I can see that the three countries are already working together to make it.

This is called a supply chain, or a supply chain.

The reason why we can’t say that the U.S. has become semiconductor independent just because this supply chain is important for semiconductors, and we can’t take all this supply chain to the U.S.

The first fab in Arizona is subsidized under the Chips Act, so it’s worth running, but if the subsidy is cut, TSMC will have a lot of worries.

I wonder when Trump is going to die…

It’s the same for us.

There are many people who believe in the novel nonsense that creating a large cluster in the metropolitan area and putting hundreds of trillion won in it will lead to semiconductor independence.

If a natural disaster such as an earthquake, typhoon, or flood occurs when semiconductor fabs and small manager companies are gathered in one place, the country can collapse.

If only one substation breaks down and only one water pipe explodes, there will be a problem with the supply of semiconductors tomorrow.

It’s because semiconductor fabs are scattered all over the world, they don’t collect more than a certain number in one place, and wafer fabs and packaging plants are located in different countries for a reason.

We don’t have Trump as a president unlike the United States, do we?

Yoon Suk Yeol, who claimed the Yongin System Semiconductor Cluster, is already in prison.

It’s time to blank out the Yongin System Semiconductor Cluster, build a RE100 industrial complex in Honam, and start building some of the memory fabs there.
