Nvidia buys after ChatGPT release at the end of 2022

“A young investment partner told me that in the fall of 2022, AI will be much bigger than blockchain interests, etc., and that I need to buy Nvidia. ChatGPT came out a month later and I significantly increased my share of Nvidia. I said in an interview at the time that ‘AI is a bigger trend than the internet’ and that I expect to have Nvidia all through 2023. But when the stock went from $150 to $900, I made a profit-taking. I’m not Warren Buffett. I also don’t know 20 years from 10 years later. At the end of March, we scaled back Nvidia and many other stocks. We made a huge profit and had to rest a little bit. But we’re still very optimistic about AI in the long run. If you were talking about the internet in 1999, no one would have said that it would have gotten as big as it is now. Nevertheless, if you bought Nasdaq tech in 1999, before everything materialized (when the dot-bubble collapsed), it would have fallen 80%. AI wouldn’t. But it has the same rhythm as those internet stocks. While we’re waiting for a huge capital expenditure, the rewards will appear little by little, but it could take four to five years for a very big benefit to emerge. So for now, I think AI is a little overrated. Of course, I think it’s underrated in the long run.”

“Now I’m into Publexity AI. The young partner who recommended Nvidia said back in January that kids in the west don’t use ChatGPT or Google anymore. Instead, he says he uses Purplexity AI. So I tried it. It’s an answering machine, but the speed and depth and quality of the answers were incredible. And it also tells me the source. I fell in love with it, and I was involved in investing. Honestly, I search over 90% of my searches on Purplexity AI.”
